The vortex flow sensor is a type of flow meter extensively used in industrial, chemical, and other fields. Its working principle involves using the force exerted by the fluid on the turbine blades rotating within the fluid to measure the fluid's flow rate. When the fluid passes through the measuring pipe of the vortex flow sensor, the turbine blades rotate with the flow of the fluid, and the rotational speed is proportional to the fluid flow rate. By measuring the rotational speed, the flow rate can be precisely determined.
High precision: Its measurement accuracy can usually reach ±0.2%, and the accuracy is more stable when the flow range is narrow.
Fast response: It can quickly respond to changes in flow rate, providing high real-time performance for scenarios with significant flow fluctuations.
Simple structure: The vortex flow sensor has a relatively simple structure, making it easy to manufacture and install, with high reliability.
Wide application range: Suitable for measuring both gas and liquid flow, applicable to various industries.
Wide Measurement Range: For medium to large diameters, it can reach 40:1~10:1, and for small diameters, it is 6:1 or 5:1.
Output pulse frequency signal: Suitable for total measurement and computer connection, with no zero drift and strong anti-interference capability.
Before installing the vortex flow sensor, ensure the process pipeline is clean.
The fluid flow direction must be consistent with the arrow direction marked on the vortex flow sensor housing, and it should not be installed in reverse. Additionally, installation should comply with the environmental requirements stated in the manual, particularly measures to avoid direct sunlight and rain for outdoor installations.
The inner diameter of the pipeline connected to the front and rear of the vortex flow sensor should match the flow meter's diameter, and there should be no protrusions (such as raised weld seams or gaskets) extending into the pipeline. Ensure the pipe axis and flow meter axis remain concentric.
A filter should be installed in front of the vortex flow sensor to eliminate the impact of impurities.
The vortex flow sensor should be installed on vertical or horizontal pipelines and should be avoided being installed on elbows or branch points in the pipeline.
